LaniH: 10/7/2017 Daily Summary

What a busy day at the falls today, we also saw a few bears in the riffles 435 and cubs and 171 and cubs.

An early morning fish bear is in the J, not sure who he leaves up the fish ladder path. The shoulder patch bear shows up and goes to the far pool then climbs the falls and goes up river. 708 and cubs are seen near the corner along with 284 and cubs. 708 and cubs move to near the platform and 284 and cubs go out to the island. Two other subadults are around the island with 284. cam pans back to the falls and 503 was in the J but leaves, the lip fisher subadult is on the lip, 474 by table rock and the shoulder patch bear near the fallen log and 856 in the office. 474 moves down near the fallen log with 503. 856 is in the J and the shoulder patch bear is sitting right outside the J. cam gets close up of lip fisher then 503 in the office. Cam pulls back and 856 leaves the J and goes to the far pool as 503 has climbed the falls and walks down the fish ladder and goes to the J.

Cam gets close up of 503 in the J then 856 in the far pool. 856 leaves the far pool headed towards the J, 503 and the shoulder patch bear leave as he come towards them. 856 climbs the fish ladder and walks across the falls. 151 Walker is spotted in the far pool with 856. 474 is sitting by the fish ladder. 503 catches a salmon in the J and a subadult would like to have some, 503 takes a swat at him/her , 503 also does a little water aerobics. 503 catches another salmon in the J and another subadult would like him to share. The subadult gets the leftovers and takes them to the island, but is scared off when they are almost gone by 474. 503 catches another one and 474 is snorkeling near him then goes to the far pool. A subadult is near the J waiting for scraps. Cam gets close up of the far pool with 474 and 856. 68 takes the J from 503. 503 and another subadult play near the platform. 83 Wayne Brother shows up near the J and goes to the far pool. 503 sneaks into the office by 474 and 83. 708 Amelia and cubs are seen down from the platform on backpacks rock. A subadult is seen on the fish ladder. Cam finds an eagle in the tree and a magpie is bugging the eagle. Cam finds shoulder patch bear eating near the J, gets close up. 68 comes and sits near the J with the shoulder patch bear. Cam gets close up of a subadult on the far bank, then 503 at the fallen log and 474 in the office. When cams pans back 68 has taken the J from 83 Wayne Brother. Cam gets close up of 474 in the office, shoulder patch bear and 503 also go into the far pool along with 83. Cam finds 68 eating on the island and then 708 Amelia sitting on backpacks rock. 708’s cubs are on the island and one of them charges a subadult that is approaching the island, they both go back over by 708 on backpacks rock. Cam pans back to the falls and 503 is in the J but not for long, 68 displaces him when he comes back. 503 climbs the fish ladder and 708 and cubs climb the fish ladder path. Cam zooms in on far pool and 503 climbs back down and the shoulder patch bear is near the office with 879 and 83 is there also. 474 is seen sitting on top of the falls above the office.

Cam again finds 708 on backpacks rock, another subadult is seen near the fish ladder but is displaced by 503 wanting to go to the J, but 68 heads back there before he can. 503 goes to the fallen log and then up by table rock but then goes to the J when 68 catches a salmon and leaves. 503 catches a salmon and leaves the J and 68 goes back into the J. the unknown large bear maybe 115 shows up near the J and 83 has left the far pool and is sitting outside the J both are watching 68 in the J. Cam looks down by backpacks rock and under the platform and when it comes back to the falls the MB 115 (?) has moved to the far pool and so has 83. 503 is at the fallen log, MB 115(?) in the office with 879 and 83 up near table rock. 879 leaves and the shoulder patch bear and MB 115(?) have a little growl at each other. 171 and cubs were seen briefly on the riffles cam. The lip fisher is up on the lip. The lip fisher catches a salmon and leaves the lip, the 708’s are down by the platform and go up towards the fish ladder. 284 and cubs are seen on the riffles cam. 68 is seen laying by the island and then sitting and watching 83 in the J. 435 Holly and coys were seen on the riffles cam headed toward the falls. 503 is near the J and 83 in the J, 83 leaves and 503 takes over the J for a short while but 68 comes and takes it from 503. The lip fisher is on the lip. A subadult joins the lip fisher on the lip for a short while then sits on the fish ladder watching the lip fisher when MB 115(?) comes up near the fish ladder.

503 is in the J and 68 comes up from behind and they have a little kerfuffle 503 leaves and goes to the fallen log. The lip fisher caught a fish, and we can see 856 approaching the office and displacing 474. 708 is seen sitting down near the platform again. Cam turns back to the falls and finds 68 eating on the island. Close up of the lip fisher Cam looks into the far pool and 83, 856 and the shoulder patch bear are there. The lip fisher catches a salmon and starts to leave the falls but the shoulder patch bear is there and she eats it up on top of the falls. 402 is seen walking along the river bank and down towards backpacks rock. Cam gets close up of far pool with 83, 856 and shoulder patch bear, 503 is at the fallen log. Cam pulls back and you can see 503 try and walk past 83 they have a little kerfuffle and 503 slips due to the current and gets swept down river a little ways. The MB 115 (?) is seen behind 68 in the J, there is grumbling. The MB goes over towards the far bank down from the far pool. 474 is seen near the platform and then goes over to the far pool and causes the shoulder patch bear to climb the falls where we also see 83 is sitting up there. Shoulder patch bear crosses the falls and comes down the fish ladder. 503 and 151 Walker are seen playing at the fallen log. 83 is near the platform and the MB 115 (?) is there, 83 goes to the J, we see 68 on the island with the shoulder patch bear near him looking for scraps. 83 is in the J and he has the MB (115?), 68 and the patched bear all around the J.
